Omnic Crisis

During the Omnic Crisis, Bastion units fought against humans in battles around the world.

Null Sector

Bastion units were reengineered and upgraded by Null Sector and deployed during the King's Row uprising.

Overgrown

Damaged in one of the battles of the Omnic Crisis, this lone Bastion unit was reactivated in the Black Forest near Eichenwalde years later.

Gwisin

The Gwishin omnic colossus rose from the omnium in the East China Sea. The Mobile Exo-Force of the Korean Army, or MEKA, was formed in response to the Gwishin's constant attacks.

Trivia

• Bastion's "Sprout" spray is a possible reference to the animated film Wall-e.
• Also, Bastion's "Giant" spray is a possible reference to the animated film The Iron Giant.
• Bastion's "Boxing" emote is a possible reference to the game Rock Em' Sock Em' Robots.
• Bastion's R.I.P victory pose is the only non-skin item to have a description. It reads: "Responsible for so many deaths during the Omnic Crisis, even today Bastion units are a symbol of fear."
• Ganymede changes species many times depending on the skin equipped. Among others, he becomes a blue jay, a northern cardinal, a European robin, an American crow, a red-legged partridge, a rooster, a pileated woodpecker, a pigeon, a white dove, an owl, and a roadrunner.
• Bastion's Stealth skin is a clear reference to the Transformers toy line and various cartoon series throughout the years. Bastion's design appears to be inspired by the character Shockwave, while Ganymede seems to be designed after Laserbeak. This is somewhat confusing since traditionally, Laserbeak has belonged to another character called Soundwave.
• The Brick skin is highly a reference to legos themselves and its also possible to build in real-life along with its movement and flexibility.
