Story

Esat went into the field of cybernetics. Her breakthroughs proved applicable to countless areas, from the visible - as her work powered biologically integrated prosthetic limb replacements and functional exoskeletons for people with disabiltiies - to the unseen - as her improved pacemakers, ocular implants, and brain tissue implants improved the lives of those who had been living with long-term conditions. Her creations were applied to those with auto-immune conditions, taking the pressure off the body's auto-immune response and providing better regulation to the body as a whole. As her work had been publically funded, all patents were made globally available upon issue. This allowed cybernetics companies to spring up and further improve the technology.

Prior to the Omnic Crisis, Vivian Chase's condition became known to her. The young girl had a terminal auto-immune disease that caused her body to attack its own organs. Esat pioneered a highly experimental treatment for the disease, and as part of the treatment, Vivian had her affected organs and limbs replaced with state-of-the-art cybernetic ones.
