Mei's blaster unleashes a concentrated, short-range stream of frost that damages, slows, and ultimately freezes enemies in place. Mei can also use her blaster to shoot icicle-like projectiles at medium range.
Default Key: (PC LMB, PS R2, XB RT)
Secondary Fire Key: (PC RMB, PS L2, XB LT)

Details Edit

Mei's primary fire is a piercing spray of frost that does 45 damage per second, consuming 20 ammo each second. It functions as a rapid fire projectile of frost, which travels at a speed of 20 m/s. Enemies hit by the spray take damage and are slowed, the strength of both dependent on how long the spray remains in contact with them. If the spray stops, the slow effect will be lifted after 0.5 to 1 second, depending on how much of the effect was already applied. An enemy that remains in contact with the spray for 1.5 seconds is frozen in place for 1.5 seconds; while frozen, enemies will thaw out after 1.5 seconds regardless of any additional frost applied to them, and afterwards, their speed normalizes.

Mei's secondary fire launches an icicle that starts to form as the button is pressed, launching after a short delay and dealing 75 damage. This consumes 20 ammo per shot, meaning one clip can fire a maximum 10 icicles, and fires at 1.2 shots per second. Unlike Mei's other attacks, this attack can deal headshots.

Trivia Edit

  • Mei's Endothermic Blaster is capable of freezing objects in place for brief periods of time, can quickly create icicles and launch them across relatively long distances, and can form giant blocks of ice almost instantaneously.[1]
  • Mei can freeze Junkrat's RIP-Tire and Torbjorn's turrets.
