By whipping his Rocket Hammer forward, Reinhardt slings a flaming projectile which pierces and damages any enemies it touches.

Reinhardt launches a projectile that deals damage and passes through both enemies and barriers. When it touches objects which are not barriers or enemies, it will stop and create a burn effect at that area. It deals a constant 100 damage to any enemies it touches, and any shield it passes through.

Fire Strike will go through and damage enemy Reinhardt's Barrier Field, enemy Winston's Barrier Projector, but it will be absorbed by enemy Zarya's Particle Barrier and Projected Barrier without dealing any damage. Like other projectiles the Fire Strike can be deleted by's Defense Matrix and deflected by Genji's Deflect.

Although the animation of Fire Strike is relatively large it actually has an effective size of one pixel, meaning that it can be sent through small gaps and tight corners.
