Hyde Global is a corporation involved in the manufacture of automated robots.[2] It is one of the most powerful corporations in the world.[3]

In the time period after Overwatch disbanded, Hyde Global had seen a drop in revenue for a fair amount of time; enough to give its shareholders cause for concern. To counter this, its CEO based in its Sydney building (still under construction) hatched a scheme where the criminals Junkrat and Roadhog would destroy one of its factories. The plan was that the insurance payout would be used to help HG's financial situation. However, while the factory was destroyed, the duo caught onto his plan, killing him in an explosion that destroyed HG's Sydney office tower.[2]
