The Inti Warriors (a.k.a. the Solar Protectors, Solar Warriors, or The Children of the Sun) were a group of soldiers utilized by the Paqarina Research Group.

Background

The Inti Warriors were an augmented group of noble protectors and masters of solar energy. In addition to being equipped with solar rifles and healing pylons, the Warriors utilized a number of fighting styles.

In order to store and control the sun's power, each Inti Warrior was imbued with solar threading. Training to join the warriors began (or at least could begin) from a young age. Traditionally, each Inti Warrior had an augmentation ceremony, during which all the warriors would gather in the inductee's honor. Only a select number of individuals were capable of becoming Inti Warriors, given how few were able to endure solar threading.

In addition to serving as Runasapi's protectors, the Inti Warriors served as healers and providers.

The Warriors met their end in the solar threading ritual of Illari Quispe Ruiz, who was intended to be their newest member. However, such was Illari's power, she unleashed a devastating blast of solar energy from her body. The blast destroyed the entire chamber, and with it, the entirety of the order. Illari still called herself an Inti Warrior, but as a group, the Protectors of the Sun were no more.
