Las Vegas was known for its ritz and glamor. Multiple people flocked to Vegas with dreams of making their fortune through gambling. The casinos in Vegas presented themselves as squeaky clean, but in truth, crime and greedy corporate grandeur had always gone hand in hand in Vegas, and the corporations who owned the casinos were often in league with local gangs. While not willing to let the gangs into their boardrooms, they were willing to have the gangs do their dirty work, and in Vegas, there was no shortage of it.[1]
Not long after their attack on Paris, Null Sector invaded the city. Omnics were "liberated" through Null Sector's neural suppressors, while humans were either ignored or gunned down, depending on the circumstance. While humans in Las Vegas fought back, any resistance was steadily crushed. The Las Vegas Strip was hit hard with a heavy concentration of Null Sector warbots in the initial strike, but they steadily fanned out to enter the hotels and casinos there. Null Sector flooded the city's communication channels, preventing calls for outside help.[1]
By the 18th hour of the attack, Las Vegas had been turned into a warzone, with the occasional spat of gunfire or explosion echoing through the night. By the 22nd hour, Null Sector's control of the city had been even further cemented. Speakers were set up broadcasting Ramattra's message of "liberation." Fires raged to the city's north and south as Null Sector continued to sweep the city.[1]
