Michael Chu was the senior designer for lore and story in Overwatch,[1] and the game's lead writer.[2] He was responsible for writing character backstories,[3] the majority of in-game dialogue,[4] and has worked on the production of the game's animated shorts.[5]
He has also written for Blizzard's Diablo and Warcraft universes.[6]
On the 11th of March, 2020 Michael Chu announced his departure from Blizzard Entertainment; having worked for the company for 20 years.[7]
