- The group is apparently based on the real world New York City Fire Department. Based on radio chatter, it apparently uses the same EMS codes as the present day.
- An NYFD fire truck serves as the payload in the Midtown map in Overwatch 2. It is apparently the job of the attacking side to guide the truck to the site of the incident.
