The ruins of Novanskoye
Novoanskoye was a town in Siberia, Russia.

Prior to the first Omnic Crisis, the people of Novoanskoye mined metal to supply the Siberian omnium.[1] During the war itself, it was on the frontlines.[2]
An RDF patrol passes through Novanskoye
During the Second Omnic Crisis, Novoanskoye became a battleground between RDF and omnic forces. The town was heavily damaged, but its people remained put, during their part for the war effort. RDF patrols reguarly passed through the town. Where once they had mined metal to feed the omnium, the villagers now stripped the land of metal in an attempt to starve it.
The town was destroyed when the omnics breached the Krasnoyarsk Front. The RDF declared the town lost and pulled out of the area. However, Sergeant Aleksandra Zaryanova and Cole Cassidy of Overwatch headed to the town, destroying the omnics there, and subsequently led the survivors to safety. However, Zaryanova knew that the omnics would regroup, strip the town, and keep advancing.[1]
