The Overwatch Anniversary, also known as Year One, is an annual event that celebrates the release of Overwatch every year. Originally taking place in May - June, in 2023 the anniversary event was moved to September - October to match the release of Overwatch 2.

Year One event also released three new arena maps : Black Forest, Castillo, and Necropolis, which are based on Eichenwalde, Dorado and Temple of Anubis, respectively.^[1]
