A Play of the Game (or PotG) is an action taken by a player in a match that is determined, by an algorithm, to be game-changing. A Play of the Game is featured at the end of every match for all gamemodes, and is shown in the perspective of the player who took the action. The player does not have to be in the winning team to get a Play of the Game.

The Play of the Game first displays the selected player's highlight intro for 5 seconds, before showing 12 seconds of gameplay from said player's point of view, with Overwatch 2's victory theme playing in the background. Its total duration is 17 seconds. ▶️
