Trivia[ | ]

  • Other than the Cinematic Trailer, Reunion is the short that physically introduced the most named characters, with Ashe, B.O.B., and Echo.
  • There is a post credits scene named "Roadtrip" where Ashe mopes and rants to Bob about McCree. McCree then passes by which reveals that he stole Ashe's bike and she tips their hats off angrily.
  • The entire short takes place at the attacker's spawn and ends at the first checkpoint.
  • The song playing on the jukebox at the beginning is Pale Rider by The Heavy Horses.
  • This short is the last time McCree will use his flashbangs. Which was later replace as magnet grenades in-game.
    • The weapon was later swapped and Cassidy returns to use flashbangs than magnetic grenade thanks to events.
  • Ashe's call out "BOB! DO SOMETHING!" will become her ultimate call-out to self and hostiles.
  • Prior to the fight Bob is able to carry a roadsign then uses his in-game guns.
  • The short puts Cassidy in the defender's team while Ashe is in the attacker's team.
    • The end of the short sees the Payload moving due to Ashe's vicinity.
    • This could be impossible in game since payload moves faster when there are 3 to 5 people pushing it.

Development[ | ]

  • Work began on the trailer after the development team decided to debut Echo. Jungah Lee created the short's supporting characters.[1]
  • The idea for the cinematic came from the desire to do one for McCree. The story was written as a "love letter" to Westerns. When designing the cinematic, the camera, sound, and pacing of editing of classic Westerns was studied.[2]
