Rise and Shine is the seventh animated short for Overwatch, and the second episode of season 2.
Description[ | ]
Rise and Shine follows Mei, and her robot Snowball, as Mei is awakened from the cryostasis she and her colleagues are forced to go under after they missed on a resource refill because of a polar storm that occured on Ecopoint: Antarctica.

- Mei's Summer Games pajamas were also depicted in her Anniversary spray.
- Rise and Shine is the longest Overwatch animated short to date, beating Dragons by nearly two minutes.
- The Overwatch Cinematics team made a poster for the short. It was illustrated by Jungah Lee,[1] and it references the theatrical poster for the film The Martian, which follows an astronaut stranded alone on Mars with no way of contacting Earth.
- Winston's broadcast on Are You With Us? is played on the Overwatch emergency frequency at this cinematic.
- Mei's skins featured in this short are Ecopoint Antartica and Pajamei.
- Using the power of the base, Hair Dryer, Water Cooler, a jar of jam and a can of Whipped Cream. Mei creates her endothermic Blaster. Which in debut uses its primary attack.
