Overwatch Wiki

It's Pride Month with Fandom, and Overwatch's cast has a bit of representation we'd like to highlight: Tracer and Emily, Soldier 76 and Vincent, and Guillermo Portero and Miguel, and Lynx Seventeen. A big thank you to everyone who has helped make those articles and the whole wiki what they are!

There will also be three roundtable discussions in the Fandom Discord server over the month: Discussing LGBTQIA+ video games and characters on June 15, LGBTQIA+ icons and activists on June 22, and a discussion with LGBTQIA+ wiki admins on June 29.

Sam[3] is the former partner of Ana Amari and father of Fareeha. He hails from an Indigenous nation on Canada's Pacific Northwest coast.[4]

Story[]

Sam and Ana became a couple before the Omnic Crisis.[5] The two ended up having a daughter named Fareeha.[6] The relationship between Fareeha and Sam was "complicated," but she spent part of her childhood with him in Canada. The two enjoyed Canadian butter tarts during the Christmas holidays.[7]

Years later, even after she returned from hiding after her supposed death in Poland, Ana kept her survival secret from Sam, stating "I made a big enough mess of his life without having to give him the news."[5]

During Christmas,[8] Sam had dinner with Fareeha, who had traveled to Canada for the holidays.[6]

Trivia[]

The "Newborn" spray.

  • Sam first appeared in the comic Tracer: Reflections, but went unnamed in it, and was only confirmed to be Pharah's father by Michael Chu later.[6] His first name was revealed even later at BlizzCon 2017.[3]
  • A younger Sam is depicted in Ana's Uprising exclusive spray "Newborn".
  • "Bastet" indicates that he and Ana were married. By the time of the short story, Ana no longer wears her wedding ring, but it is unclear whether or not they divorced.[5]
