Talon was operating as early as the years following the end of the [[Omnic Crisis]]. At the time, Talon was facing internal power struggles, though was still committed to its goal of strengthening humanity through conflict.<ref name="DoomfistHero"/> The aftermath of the war left Talon in a position poised to profit from the chaos they had induced.<ref name = "BaptisteHero">[https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/heroes/baptiste/ Baptiste], ''Play Overwatch''. Accessed on 2019-03-10</ref> In this period, Talon's public face was that of a well paid mercenary group that took on security missions that were sanctioned by official organizations or corporations.
