Troopers are the basic infantry unit of Talon. They make up a large part of encountered enemy forces in Overwatch Retribution and Overwatch Storm Rising.
Summary
The bulk of Talon's forces, Troopers will spawn in groups from elevators, out of buildings and so on. They are armed with rifles similar to those used by Soldier: 76, and attack with bursts of bullet fire. They are able to perform a dodge roll like McCree, but otherwise have average health and offensive capability.
Story
Troopers are made up of recruits from mercenary groups and ex-military operators, and make up the bulk of Talon's forces. Their total numbers remain unknown and appear to be growing.[1]
Known Members
- Jean-Baptiste Augustin (former)
- Doubleday (deceased)
- Mazzei (deceased)
- Pacanowsky (deceased)
Tactics
Troopers make up most of Talon's forces. They are weak defensively, but as they typically come in groups and possess hitscan rifles, they can deal quite a bit of damage. They typically stick together, and will occasionally roll out of incoming fire. They will flinch if they take too much damage, interrupting their actions and giving an opening to finish them off.
As with other Talon enemies, Troopers are improved at higher difficulties, generally reacting and acting much more quickly than on lower difficulties.
