Trivia[ | ]

  • The map was teased in Venture's gameplay trailer. At the end of the trailer, Venture burrows under Petra, and after a cut is shown to emerge in front of Anubis.[3]
    • The blurry pillars in the background are also more reminiscent of the pillars in Temple of Anubis than Petra, being more narrow towards the top and featuring round platforms.
  • Temple of Anubis can be seen in the distance.
    • Both maps share the same theme song.
    • The Anubis containment pyramid connects to the former map in the background.
  • A pachimari resembling Pharah can be found behind a broken wall at the back of Point C.
  • Several design elements in the map were originally borrowed from the canceled 2017 payload map Cairo.
