Transformation abilities are abilities that cannot be cancelled by any form of Crowd Control and will persist after the hero using them is stunned or hacked.
Transformations usually change a hero's kit in some way. This can mean that during the ability duration, the hero may have a different weapon, additional Hit points, different abilities or enhance the hero's current weapon in some way. These abilities typically last a limited amount of time before reverting the hero back to their original kit. While the hero will often still be susceptible to Crowd Control, they cannot be forced out of their transformed kit by it.
In addition to being uninterruptible, Transformation abilities have another main difference compared to channeled abilities, which similar to transformations are longer-lasting effects. Transformations do not prevent the use of the rest of the hero's abilities, like Channeled abilities do. While Mauga's Overrun and Venture's Burrow do fit the uninterruptibility, they do not provide changes to the hero kit that Transformation abilities do, instead locking the hero out of using some of their abilities and weapons, which is why they're considered channeled abilities.
Transformation abilities can usually be cancelled early by pressing the ability button again, but otherwise can only be cancelled by waiting for the transformation to end or in some cases, using all available ammo in the transformed kit, such as with Venture's Tectonic Shock.
