Vishwakarma Bhatt is the founder of the Vishkar Corporation and developer of hard-light.
Story[ | ]
Vishwakarma Bhatt lived in the period prior to the Omnic Crisis. He formed an ambitious start-up in Bengaluru, researching methods of manifesting matter through hard-light technology. After years of limited success, many in Bhatt's discipline had run out of funding and pivoted to other fields. However, he achieved a breakthrough via a prototype photon projector, which yielded incredibly powerful destructive crystalline structures. Though not quite what Bhatt had intended, these structures could be tuned to attract carbon molecules. Progress was slower than investors would have liked, but Bhatt was able to use the carbon-cleaning benefits as a selling point. Additional grants were secured by the United Nations Global Recovery Program, which led to the formation of Vishkar.[1]
Over the years, Bhatt inspired his team to reach greater and greater heights, imagining a future where hard-light would eliminate housing shortages, transportation issues, even material inequalities. According to those close to him, Bhatt was firm in the belief that hard-light should be accessible to all, and was resistant to the idea of profiting from his designs.[1] He hoped to share the technology with the world before Vishkar implemented restrictions on it.[2] However, Bhatt lost his life in an unfortunate car accident one year before Vishkar's first public offering.[1]
