Weekly Brawl was a Play Mode in Overwatch.
Weekly Brawl offered a game with new rules every week on Tuesday, in order to shake up gameplay.[1] Some example rules were not being able to switch heroes, only being allowed to play specific heroes, abilities having different cooldowns, hero stacking limitations, or a player's hero being randomly selected upon death.
During seasonal events, the Weekly Brawl was replaced with a special brawl for the three-week duration of the event. When new heroes or maps were released, a brawl featuring that content released alongside it, which may last longer than a week.
On November 15, 2016, the Weekly Brawl was discontinued, and the Arcade and All Brawls! mode took its place.
