The Narrator:
Not long ago, four heroes slew the mad Doctor Junkenstein and saved the lord of the castle. Tonight, in zomnic-haunted streets beneath the full moon glow, four more heroes would face a new peril. They would suffer the Wrath of the Bride.
The Narrator:
The heroes emerged from their shelters, hoping to reunite with other survivors in the safety of the tavern.
Gather at the Tavern[ | ]
Kiriko:
Glad to see other survivors!
Sojourn:
We won't last long out here. Let's get inside and figure this out.
The Radio[ | ]
Sojourn:
Are you all hearing this?

Does anyone know what's going on here?
Ashe:
I'd bet these zomnics have something to do with the lord of the castle... and Doctor Junkenstein, no doubt.
Junker Queen:
What are we waiting for? Let's get to the castle and chop that doctor to bits!
Reach the Castle[ | ]
The Narrator:
The heroes set off toward the castle, and the howling wind spelled an ominous portent.
Chatter[ | ]
Ashe:
Don't reckon you can see if we survive the night?
Kiriko:
Something's clouding my sight. Can't predict much of anything right now.

So... how do you earn a name like "the Butcher"?
Junker Queen:
By butcherin'! Not quick for a sleuth, are ya?
Sojourn:
Never hurts to ask.

Ashe:
Wouldn't be the first time he clawed his way out of the grave.
Sojourn:
Let's be sure to close his case this time.

Actually, you die peacefully of old age.
Junker Queen:
(gasp) You take that back!

My sight tells me it's somewhere nearby.
The Narrator:
The dreadful Banshee lunged out of the screaming gales, and snatched the key from the hero's hands
Ashe:
Drop that now or I'll give you something to wail about!
The Narrator:
As the wind swept away the Banshee's remains, a haunting voice filled the minds of the heroes.
???:
I expected more from my Banshee friend.
Junker Queen:
Hey! Who's yapping in my head?
???:
Do yourselves a favor. Stay away from the castle... or else.
Sojourn:
Guess we found our culprit.
Ashe:
Now to put a stop to her.
- Unlock the gate
Get Through the Ramparts[ | ]
Ashe:
Castle should be up this way.
Sojourn:
Does anyone else feel like we're being watched?
Junker Queen:
Yeah, and I don't take kindly to people lookin' at me!
Kiriko:
Something is coming! Above us!
The Narrator:
From high upon the ramparts, the gargoyles shattered their prisons and rained on the heroes below.
Defeat the Gargoyles[ | ]
The Narrator:
The gargoyles crumbled, and the strange voice spoke once more.
???:
Aww, you killed my favorite pets!
Take the Dungeon Shortcut[ | ]
Kiriko:
You aren't the doctor. Who are you?
???:
A grieving widow.
Junker Queen:
(gasp) You're the Bride of Jinkenstone!
Sombra:
Ay, seriously? I blocked the path to the castle, so this is where your tale ends.
Ashe:
Reckon I know another way through. Let's get to the dungeon.
Find the Hidden Levers[ | ]
Ashe:
Should be a lever 'round here that'll open the secret passage.
Sojourn:
Do I want to ask how you know about this?
Ashe:
There ain't a prison around that could keep me locked up. Now get pullin'.
The Narrator:
In the depths of the dungeon, the heroes fell under the hypnotizing gaze of the Marionette.
Survive the Nightmare[ | ]
Kiriko:
Are we... dreaming?
Junker Queen:
Feels more like a bloody nightmare!
Reach the Castle[ | ]
The Narrator:
Though the Marionette's nightmare ended, the Bride still haunted the heroes...

Sojourn:
What have you done with the lord of the castle?
Sombra:
I have plans for him. And now, I have plans for you too.
Defeat Castle Guards[ | ]
The Narrator:
In a twist of fate, the Summoner stood guard over the castle door she had once sought to destroy.

Kiriko:
The Summoner? She was... dead, wasn't she?
Sojourn:
Seems the bride stoked her back to life.
Junker Queen:
Well she's dead again now. And the Bride's next, once we bust through this door!
Ashe:
Step aside, gals. My dynamite will burn this door to the ground.
Burn the Castle Door[ | ]
- Have Ashe throw her dynamite at the door
The Narrator:
Behind the castle door, the heroes met only with shadows... and looming fear.
Find the Lord of the Castle[ | ]
Sombra:
Oh, you've finally made it. I'll have my butler show you in. (chuckle)
Ashe:
Stay away from that thing, unless you wanna be in a world of hurt!
Kiriko:
You never mentioned the castle is haunted.
Ashe:
Ever seen one that wasn't?
Sojourn:
Stay focused. That ghost could be back any minute.
Kiriko:
Did the Bride reanimate all these zomnics?
Ashe:
Seems Junkenstein wasn't the only "inventive" one.
Junker Queen:
Question. Is she married to the doctor? Or his monster?
Sojourn:
Really not important right now.
Junker Queen:
(Scoff) Says you.
- After picking up the key
Sojourn:
Look at all this. The Bride idolized Junkenstein, even after his demise.
Kiriko:
And now she's returned to where it all ended... to finish what he started.
Junker Queen:
For what?
Ashe:
What else? Revenge.
Sojourn:
We need to find the lord. Fast.
Rescue the Lord of the Castle[ | ]
???:
Someone... please!
Junker Queen:
That sounds like the lord of the castle!
The Narrator:
Within the throne room, the heroes found the lord bound to an operating table, held at the whim of the Bride of Junkenstein.
The Narrator:
The Bride sought vengeance for her fallen creator. She would turn the lord into a monster most foul, should the heroes fail to stop her.
Junker Queen:
Where'd the Bride go? I wasn't done killing her yet!
Sojourn:
We can't let her flip any more switches.
Junker Queen:
Idea. We flip 'em first.
Sojourn:
(Sigh) Leave the ideas to me.
Sombra:
Junkenstein was robbed of his revenge. I won't make the same mistakes!
Kiriko:
Vengeance only leads to suffering
Sombra:
That's... kind of what I'm going for?
Kiriko:
Okay.
Sojourn:
That ghost is back. Keep moving!
Kiriko:
I feel... rage in him. Pain... ugh!
Sojourn:
I'd feel sorry for him, but I'm a little busy!

The Bride of Junkenstein met the same end as her creator: a death at the hands of four brave heroes. The lord of the castle was saved, and once more could Aldersbrunn rest soundly... for now.
